NEPG 2024 Code of Conduct

We want everyone to enjoy NEPG 2024 and feel able to contribute. We expect all conference participants to treat others with dignity and respect and to conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.
All communication, online and in-person, should be appropriate for a professional audience and be considerate of people from different cultural backgrounds.
Be kind to others and do not insult or belittle other conference attendees. Contributions should be made to discussions with a constructive and positive approach.
Remember that harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes are not appropriate. Negative or exclusionary comments about any identity will not be tolerated.
Harassment includes but is not limited to offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of discussions, inappropriate physical contact, and unwanted sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
Consequences
If a participant violates the Code of Conduct, the conference organisers will take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, expelling them from the conference, and/or barring them from all future NEPG events.
Reporting
Violations of this Code of Conduct can be reported in-person to one of the conference organisers, who will be identified at the beginning of the day and on their badges.
Online reports (anonymous or not) can be made using the contact form or by emailing us.
